7th June 2010 - Cliff Burgess
I arrived on Thursday at 16.30 in the afternoon but didn't decide where to fish until 19.00hrs. I fished until 05.30hrs on Friday morning before winding in the rods and falling into bed for some much-needed sleep. In that time I received 9 runs landing Mirrors of 12lbs, 11lbs, 15lbs-12oz, 15lbs, 21lbs-4oz, 27lbs-2oz, 22lbs-6oz, and lost a further two fish to hook pulls.
I rested the swim for the rest of the day, as it was very hot and sunny and didn’t put the rods back out at 18.00 hrs. I then received a further six takes resulting in Mirrors of 16lb-12oz, 31lb-12oz, 18lb-8oz, 30lb-8oz, 24lbs and lost another fish at the net due to a hook pull. I wound the rods in at 23.00hrs to rest the swim and get some kip.
I set my alarm for 04.15hrs and put the rods out at 04.30hrs. The action started within ten minutes and I landed a further six fish and lost another two. They were Commons of 12lbs, 15lb-14oz, 30lb-2oz and Mirrors of 14lb-12oz, 10lb-6oz and 21lb-8oz. I wound the rods in at 09.20hrs as it was again getting too hot so I decided to rest the swim.

May has seen the fish really get on the munch leading up to spawning. There have been some awesome catches.
