We have a few different strains of carp present to keep you interested. We have over 200 Fishers Pond Mirrors. These fish have made forty plus in dozens of waters up and down the country. Over half of ours are 20lb+. They have done very well in the lake and some have made 35lb from 5lb in 6 years which is great growth. They come in all shapes and sizes they look great and fight like hell.

We have a number of other strains present including over 50 Walthamstow mirrors and commons. These are very long fish which are a bit older and wiser than the rest although they do come out and respond very well to surface baits.

They are mostly in the mid twenty range with the best being low thirties.We have over 150 fish from Front Fish UK these are more classical looking carp with all manner of scale patterns. These are young fish which are now piling on the weight and brighten up anyones photo album.

We also have a number of stock ponds where we are growing on carp for future stockings.

We used to stock small but as Berners is becoming a specimen water we now prefer to grow them on elsewhere and stock them at a better average weight. Photos of our stock can be found in the members gallery.
